Everything looks better with a Peugeot

Peugeot 308
mypugKerKers writes "The Peugeot 308 series has been designed to build on the strengths of its predecessor and includes many more features of its own. It was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show and has been getting rave reviews since then. The Peugeot 308 has improved features of space and has been known to consume less fuel and is more environment-friendly with lesser emissions.
The Peugeot 308 designed by the French Automaker PSA Peugeot Citroën (PSA) is the successor of the 307 model which belonged to the family car genre. This is the first one of the 008 series following which, models like SW Prologue, RC Z coupe and HDi Hybrid that is constructed in a way where the chassis of the 307 series is main- tained, while having different bodywork and bigger size.
The Peugeot 308 series has been designed with the use of tech- nology solely dedicated to improve environmental efficiency. The Peugeot 308 is available with a choice of six lean burn engines, including three petrol engines, developed in partnership with the BMW Group, and three HDi diesel engines. The slogan for the model is “The drive of your life”.

Locally assembled Peugeot 308 VTi and Peugeot 308 Turbo launched in Malaysia: RM96.5k to RM111k

Both are powered by 1.6 liter engines from the PSA-BMW Prince family and mated to Porsche Tiptronic 4-speed transmissions, but a key difference is in how air gets pushed into the engines, which directly affects its power output."

C&C Bintang to cease doing Peugeot business
mypugobey_one writes "

Cycle & Carriage Bintang Bhd will be parting company with Automobiles Peugeot. In a recent notification to Bursa Malaysia, C&C Bintang said that it will not renew its contract as Peugeot franchise holder when it expires this December 31. The original contract was signed on January 24 2002 so it has been six years that C&C Bintang has been selling the French cars.

C&C Bintang’s announcement states that efforts are underway in conjunction with Automobiles Peugeot to find a buyer to take over the inventory, assets and staff employed in the business ‘to ensure a smooth transition and the continuation of the Peugeot franchise in the Malaysian market’.

mypugAdmin writes "By Paul Si : A THING of beauty is a joy for ever. Hopefully, Keats' spirit will not object too strenuously if I borrow his timeless words to describe the new Peugeot 407, for it is indeed a beauty that I can behold with pleasure for a long time (although forever would be pushing it).

The 407 is as graceful standing still as it is in motion. The smooth flowing lines call to mind a sleek, feline creature, like a crouching panther about to pounce, perhaps."
